All supervisory employees in California for any company with 50+ employees. Effective 1/1/2021, all supervisory and non-supervisory employees at companies with 5+ employees must complete training. Supervisors complete a 2-hour course; non-supervisory employees complete a 1-hour course.
Anyone with significant authority over others โ including the ability to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, fire, promote, assign, reward, or discipline employees. Your business title does not determine supervisor status; these nine criteria do.
Employees promoted to supervisor must complete training within 6 months of assuming that supervisory role.
The training is highly interactive and engaging โ users navigate through real-life workplace scenarios. Our HR experts develop culturally and socially relevant content. Employees can pause and resume at any time; all progress is saved.
